Ghostland

Piece description from the artist

:Ghostland

(2019)

In early 2019, MATT TTAM created ":Ghostland"; an abrasive work to echo the countless masses with hopes and dreams of glory that are often swallowed whole by the city. Despite the unfulfilled intentions and being a wasteland of grand ideas, Ghostland is loved.

No Photoshop is used in the creation of these pieces. All done in camera, by master photographer, MATT TTAM.

About Matt Blum

Dallas, TX

MATT TTAM is an American photographer whose pieces have been exhibited nationally and featured in publications such as USA Today, Playboy, and Esquire. He believes that the key to any good photograph is the story behind it. Within his art, he explores and expands the limits of classic photography. The relationship between photography and location plays an important role in all of TTAM’s work. Using various techniques (often movement and exposure time), objects in his pieces can appear abstract and bizarre. Thereby the object loses its function as a “memory aid”, blurring the definition and limitations of the medium.
While TTAM provides clues to the location and subject matter of his compositions, he doesn't give additional details, preferring the viewer to form their own narrative.
