Full Moon Rising

Piece description from the artist

"Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth"
—Buddha

A rare Christmas full moon rises behind bare trees on a cold and relatively clear night in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The first Christmas full moon since 1977 and the last until 2034.

This single photograph was processed in Photoshop using mutliple texture layers and several Topaz Labs plugins including Impression, Clarity and Glow.

About Scott Norris

Milwaukee, WI

motion. Mood. Atmosphere. These are the heartbeats of my photography. From sweeping landscapes to intricate still life and captivating macros, my work is a journey – one that reveals my triumphs, struggles, beliefs, and the essence of who I am.

I'm all about spontaneity. I don't stage what I shoot; I let the world around me guide the lens. What catches my eye becomes the canvas for my story.

But the magic doesn't end when I click the shutter. That's just the beginning. I dive deeper, transforming raw images into visual tales. I add textures, enhance contrasts, and sculpt the light and shadows to evoke the emotions I felt in that very moment. It's a process of alchemy, where my heart and mind collaborate to bring my vision to life.
