About Nikolay Devnenski
In his work, Nikolay Devnenski explores the possible symbiosis of two different cultural universes – the modern one and the renaissance/middle century art in a perpetual search for harmony. Man, faced with multiple solicitations from modernity, finds equilibrium to this double universe. Nikolay Devnenski believes the time is not linear and the future can influence the past and vice versa. Therefore there is no contradiction in the symbiosis between the modern society and any other from the menkinds past. Devnenski’s digital art and drawings are full of vitality through a combination of grace, movement and force.
Education:
Graduated in National Academy of Art in 1994 – Sofia, Bulgaria with Master of Arts degree.
Exhibitions:
The artist has three solo exhibitions – Rousse, Bulgaria (1997); Sofia, Bulgaria (2012) , La Rioja, Spain (2020) and more than 50 participations in group exhibitions.
His works belong to private art collectors from several countries.
