Hillary Anne Strack was born in Atlanta, GA where she grew up and spent the first part of her life. Then in 2007 She moved to Chicago to pursue photography and studies at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. While attending SAIC she continued studies in photography and explored use of medium and large format cameras as well as the use of color film. Continuing to shoot and print in the more traditional ways of black and white while exploring photographing with color film, scanning, and producing inkjet prints. She also enjoys making artists books, postcards, and installations with her images. Photography is a passion that fuels her life and the way in which she experiences the world. The work is very narrative by its nature and lends to a story telling quality which allows viewers to engage in dialogue as if they are experiencing the image in real life and time.
