A peaceful golden hour sunrise glows over Destin, Florida, along the quiet shoreline of Four Prong Lake. A small gazebo and swaying palm trees create a calm tropical scene as the early bold morning light begins to fill the sky.
While the nearby beaches are usually my first choice for sunrise photography, the palm trees and this small lake immediately caught my eye that morning. There’s something special about a palm trees tall tropical silhouettes against the bold colors of dawn. Whenever I travel south and start seeing palm trees, I know the coast is close, and that tropical feeling has arrived.
In the background, the peaceful waters of Four Prong Lake, spanning about 24 acres, reflect the warm orange glow of the new day, adding to the quiet coastal charm that makes Destin such a beautiful place to welcome the sunrise.
