Focused

Piece description from the artist

Contrary to lyrical abstraction, which allows the freedom of intuitive lines and markings, sometimes we need a more focused approach to quiet the mind.

About Michelle Feinberg

Needham, MA

Michelle Lander Feinberg is an abstract artist from Massachusetts and a signature member of the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA) and executive member of the 1202 Collective. For Michelle, abstract painting is a form of meditation, a way of connecting with the creative force that animates us all. Her bold and colorful paintings are about capturing the joy and energy of life, and have been exhibited internationally in galleries, stores, restaurants, hospitals, libraries, offices, on 1stDibs, and on Artsy. Her primary style is lyrical abstraction, as she finds that painting intuitively gives her the freedom to express that in a world which is severe much of the time, it is alright to be a little less serious for a while. She hopes that people get a sense of joyfulness and playfulness when looking at her artwork. Although not inherently brave, she has donated a kidney and walked on fire.
