Piece description from the artist
This vertical long exposure black and white photograph captures a dramatic slot canyon scene along the cool, spring-fed waters of Spring Creek Canyon on the Kanarra Falls Trail in Kanarraville, Utah, USA. Silky, flowing water winds through the narrow canyon, smoothing into a soft blur as it passes between towering sandstone walls and over rocks. The warm tones of the rock contrast beautifully with patches of vegetation clinging to the canyon edges, adding life to the rugged landscape. The icy 36-degree water reflects the rich textures and colors of the surrounding stone, enhancing the sense of depth and movement. Part of a scenic 4-mile round-trip hike, this hidden Southern Utah gem offers waterfalls, tight slot passages, and unforgettable views that make Kanarra Falls a favorite for hikers, photographers, and anyone seeking a serene desert adventure.
