As the non-native iguanas multiply in South Florida they can be seen everywhere throughout the year. In the winter months, you can even find them paralyzed from the colder weather all over people's yards and on the streets. Iguanas are native to Central America, tropical parts of South America, and some Caribbean islands. But now they rule South Florida, one day while walking in my backyard in Oakland Park, Florida I came across this bright orange beast relaxing in the thick. Although naturally green around breeding season some iguanas turn orange to show dominance. This guy "Fire King" truly had everyone's attention.
