This painting was done after a summer in Cannes. It was painted to remember a beautiful summer and the people who made the summer prefect. The layers of color show the complexity of relationships. From white to black, rust brown to olive green the colors of life are rich in texture as this painting has a movement and texture that is all its own and changes as the light changes.
Katherine Green was born in Fairfield County, Connecticut, and studied fine art at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Her studio is in the Pacific Northwest.
