Piece description from the artist
A wide-angle black and white view of Bennett Spring State Park during the fall season captures the rushing water from the park's namesake natural spring as it flows over a moss-covered rock formation. This cluster of rocks forms a small man-made dam, creating gentle rapids and cascading waterfalls that enhance the scenic beauty of the area. Along the riverbank, anglers can be seen fly fishing for trout, a popular activity in this well-known Missouri fishing destination. Located near Lebanon, Missouri, Bennett Spring is one of the state’s first and most cherished state parks. The spring produces an impressive 100 million gallons of clear, cold water daily, feeding the entire stream seen in this photograph.
