Those few moments of splendid color before the light disappears into shadow and April captures the glow of the suns reflection on the water. Sunset on the marsh is a stunning and serene experience. Originally painted in oil on canvas.
April is heavily influenced by the classical impressionists but strives to bring about elements of expressionism as well into her paintings. She uses color fearlessly and is always striving to "capture the light". April wants her paintings to invoke the feelings of her subjects and especially the wild feelings of being out of doors surrounded by the beauty of nature.
