Piece description from the artist
This unique coffee stand, housed in a tepee-shaped building, is located in Browning, Montana, and has long been abandoned. It hasn't served coffee for many years, but is still a well-known landmark in the area and marks the edge of Glacier National Park for many locals. Located on the Blackfoot Indian Reservation, I hope this landmark is preserved for the generations to come. It is truly a unique and iconic little coffee stand. I stopped to photograph it very early in the morning on my way to East Glacier during a summer sunrise.
Annie was born and raised in Montana, growing up on her family's ranch in the beautiful Smith River Valley. Growing up in Montana's wild and beautiful Landscape led to her deep love of nature and all things rural. Annie attended the Art Institute of Colorado and lived in Denver Colorado until the completion of her Interior Design degree in 2002. After working in that field for several years, Annie moved back to Montana and began her own business, focusing on her ever-growing love of photography. She began traveling the backroads and wilderness of Montana and the Rocky Mountain region and selling her photos professionally in galleries, shops, and online. She primarily searches for rural Landscapes, old barns, abandoned farmhouses, and occasionally wildlife she encounters. Her work as been featured in HGTV, Better Homes and Gardens, and featured in three books on emerging artists of the United States. She currently lives in Billings, Montana, and takes several trips during the year to gather new images.
