This vertical photograph captures a grand and mature elm tree standing alone in the middle of a peaceful field at Springfield Lake Park in Springfield, Missouri, United States. Taken during a quiet spring evening, the scene highlights the tree’s impressive size and the unique character of its textured trunk. While the exact species is unknown, this elm belongs to the Ulmaceae family and Ulmus genus. Elm trees are often vulnerable to Dutch elm disease, making it a rare and beautiful sight to witness one grow to such stature and health.
