An encaustic painting on birchwood cradle panel. Painted entirely out of wax, and fused with heat after each layer, this painting has many layers of colors built up to create this moody landscape.
Mary Elizabeth has always been a painter. Painting is how she expresses her joy for life. She is a prolific artist with a wide range of mediums and surfaces, including: encaustic wax, oil paints, alcohol inks, watercolors, acrylics, porcelain, clay, ceramic and glass. She lives with her family in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina.
