En Plein Air
Piece description from the artist
This painting is a meditation on the act of painting out-of-doors. The recognition that nature is constantly changing and that the painting is a record of the process of trying to abstract a sense of the Spirit in nature.
The difference between painting in the studio
and painting out-of-doors is like
standing in a bathroom shower
and standing naked in the rain…
in both instances you get wet,
but it is a totally different sensory experience.
