I have walked through the broken fields of dreams, where the soil is soft with the ashes of old desires and every shattered horizon sighs with a name I can no longer speak aloud. There, triumph is a ghost, a pale, wandering thing, and regret grows tall as wheat, its stalks brushing my skin like the hands of lovers who never stayed. In that lonely expanse, time moves differently. It circles the heart like a slow, circling hawk, waiting for the moment when tenderness falters. And yet I keep walking, because something in me believes that even the ruins of hope still carry the warmth of what once was. By the river, the old river, the one that remembers the first heartbeat of the world, I stopped. Its voice was not a whisper but a confession, an endless chant of forgotten stories dissolved into currents that carry both mercy and mourning. The water touched my reflection as if recognizing a sorrow of its own, as if asking whether I still knew how to love without doubt. And then, quietly, impossibly, the thought of you rose in me like a star insisting on being born in a sky that had forgotten light. Your memory was not a comfort; it was a truth, fierce and unclothed, reminding me that love is not a victory but a willingness to walk unshielded through the landscapes that undo us. For even where all other lights have drowned, your name burns in me? a single, stubborn ember that refuses to surrender its fire to the dark.

Alicia Lopez, an American painter, has brought this philosophy to life through her bold and evocative works. Having exhibited widely in both solo and group shows across the United States and Mexico, her artistic journey began in childhood. As a young girl, she would set up imaginary exhibitions for her mother, her first and most steadfast supporter.
"Without the beautiful angel God assigned me as a mom, I wouldn’t be who I am. All I am and will ever be is thanks to her. She is the strongest, kindest, and most lovable human being you will ever meet!" Alicia says, her voice brimming with love.Her mother’s encouragement laid the foundation for Alicia's passionate pursuit of art, and this deep-rooted sense of gratitude continues to fuel her work. Each of Alicia’s paintings is more than just a visual experience it’s a story. A narrative born from her desire to transform the world into a beautiful, peaceful dream. Her art seamlessly blends the realms of imagination and nature, inviting viewers to embrace the boundless beauty of the world around them.

While she works in both oils and acrylics, Alicia particularly favors acrylics for their versatility and fast-drying properties, which allow her to experiment and evolve without delay.
