Piece description from the artist
Abstract human torso in an ombre chakra chroma embodies earth. When turned end to end, reveals the landscape, within This Side of the Sun, and Other Side of the Moon. Ribs form ridgeline trees, arms float between earth and sky at each horizon. Chakra colors above and below the heart (cool and warm) connect the body earth and spirit.

40" x 60", each canvas 40" x 30" shown as torso
30" x 80" as landscape
I painted this landscape, initially horizontal as a landscape. In process, I turned the canvases on end. Feeling myself, my body, my spine along the divide between the two vertical canvases, I completed the painting embodied. Trauma causes us to leave our bodies. After the attack in my studio 35 years ago, this painting brought me home.

Flourishing in the Meadow of Life
My work is an invitation to feel light in the body and reconnect with the divine feminine nature of earth’s garden. Emotional color reflects the healing light within.
The power of our human-nature collaboration is at hand. Amidst traumatic global transformation, e-motion is the catalyst. Releasing earth sky water energies, I fuse sacred dictations with fluid color, impasto texture, gritty willow charcoal, and intention.
From my studio on the pond, at the vortex of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed and the Atlantic Ocean, earth’s garden amplifies her call to us though meditation, journaling, cosmic and spiritual practice.
I use my chakra-aligned palette to reweave the heartland. These hot pink and green hues, previously short-circuited by cultural norms, restore juxtapositions of sparking unconditional love, grace, and understanding.
