Standing along the rim at the Green River Overlook, this expansive scene captures the dramatic cliff edge as it drops steeply into the immense canyon below within Canyonlands National Park near Moab, Utah. The hazy atmosphere softens the distant horizon while revealing the sinuous Green River threading through the rugged terrain, bordered by subtle ribbons of green. Towering rock layers and isolated buttes add depth and scale, emphasizing the raw grandeur of the Island in the Sky district and the powerful geologic forces that shaped this iconic Southwest landscape.
