Captured during the quiet descent of evening, this photograph explores the quiet resilience and layered majesty of Glacier National Park's landscape. Set against a soft, atmospheric palette of cool blues and muted earth tones, the composition frames sharp alpine peaks rising over Two Medicine Lake, grounded by the contrast of charred snag trees and emerging pine saplings in the foreground. It serves as a visual meditation on time and renewal—where the weathered remnants of the past yield space to vibrant new growth, set beneath the enduring, timeless presence of the Crown of the Continent.
Annie was born and raised in Montana, growing up on her family's ranch in the beautiful Smith River Valley. Growing up in Montana's wild and beautiful Landscape led to her deep love of nature and all things rural. Annie attended the Art Institute of Colorado and lived in Denver Colorado until the completion of her Interior Design degree in 2002. After working in that field for several years, Annie moved back to Montana and began her own business, focusing on her ever-growing love of photography. She began traveling the backroads and wilderness of Montana and the Rocky Mountain region and selling her photos professionally in galleries, shops, and online. She primarily searches for rural Landscapes, old barns, abandoned farmhouses, and occasionally wildlife she encounters. Her work as been featured in HGTV, Better Homes and Gardens, and featured in three books on emerging artists of the United States. She currently lives in Billings, Montana, and takes several trips during the year to gather new images.
