Early mornings

Early Mornings

Piece description from the artist

It was a cold winter morning, I was skating down the west side highway. My face quickly went numb from the piercing morning wind blowing from the harbor. As soon as the drone took off I was aghast by the image on my screen. One of the most magical sunrises I've ever seen was unfolding before my eyes. I managed to capture a few images before the sky lost its orange and red hues. The final product quickly became one of my favorite aerial shots I've taken of New York City.

About Andres Cortina

Playa Del Rey, CA

Andres fell in love with the camera from a very early age. Growing up, he would make little GoPro videos and share them with his family and friends. Life took a few turns which eventually led him to New York, where his obsession of photographing the city from all angles led him to forbidden rooftops and sunrise drone flights in order to capture the Big Apple in ways that have never been seen. He currently lives in Los Angeles and is working on a short film that will premiere in the Hamptons Film Festival this fall.
