Dressing

Dressing

Piece description from the artist

A young girl playing dress up. The clothes are too big for her.

My paintings address the sensual, emotional and violent recesses of human nature that bubble beneath the surface of our culture. My recent work is about the physical and psychological space that exists within the minds of women. The protagonists of my paintings are strong women, loving, intelligent and cunning. They can also be selfish and violent. The interactions between the characters and the viewer form the central tension inherent in my work.
