After a long hike, lugging my heavy photographic equipment, through the wilds of the Rocky Mountains, I headed home. Autumn colors are particularly beautiful on this high mountain pass, so it can be difficult to keep an eye on the scary, very high, (no guard rails), winding road. Out of my peripheral vision, I saw an incredible burst of color, but being exhausted I drove by this incredible scene. I instinctively put my foot to the breaks, and found a place to turn my truck around! I'm glad I did!
Barbara has been exposed to art and creativity, her entire life! Her mother was an oil painter and her grandfather, not only an MD, but a talented artist as well. At the age of 16, Barbara found her creative passion looking through the lens of a Canon camera. She has been a photographer from that point on, finding subject matter from the gritty streets of Manhattan, to the alpine environment of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. She feels most at home now, among big horned sheep, moose and mountains of Colorado!
