This is a mixed media piece on oil paper with a vibrant feeling. I used thicker paint to add texture to parts of the image.
Jacqueline Evans uses bold colors and hand drawn shapes to illuminate another world, peeking out behind a veil of textures.
Using oil and cold wax as an anchor to her work, she begins with graphite, then defines. The viewer will note hints of her mark making intermingled in the works enhanced by the transparency of her pallet.
