Dramatic sunset lighting a layer of clouds and with focus on winter tree branches in Legacy Hills Park near Georgetown, Texas. I had been watching this band of clouds for a couple of hours before sunset thinking that it might make an intriguing lightshow and so went to this location to capture it behind the bare trees by the lake. The sunset did not disappoint!
Steve Heap has been a photographer for over 50 years now (which is frightening to think about!) but in that time he has developed an eye for what would make a striking piece of wall art. Photography is all about the light and his finest attribute is patience! Waiting for the conditions to be just right is the key to making a piece of art that you can be proud of. Of course, luck plays a part, but without that patience of being in the right place at the right time, it just becomes a snapshot. He focuses on capturing images from around the world – timeless shots that reward the viewer with insights as they spend more time with them!
