In Divine Design, I sought to celebrate the intricate geometry and delicate architecture found in nature's simplest creations. Stripping away color in favor of dramatic monochrome highlights the ethereal symmetry and star-like pattern of a dandelion seed head in full bloom. Paired with a soft, shadowy backdrop, this close-up perspective transforms an everyday seed head into a luminous sphere of wonder, inviting the viewer to pause and appreciate the extraordinary craftsmanship woven into the world right beneath our feet.
Annie was born and raised in Montana, growing up on her family's ranch in the beautiful Smith River Valley. Growing up in Montana's wild and beautiful Landscape led to her deep love of nature and all things rural. Annie attended the Art Institute of Colorado and lived in Denver Colorado until the completion of her Interior Design degree in 2002. After working in that field for several years, Annie moved back to Montana and began her own business, focusing on her ever-growing love of photography. She began traveling the backroads and wilderness of Montana and the Rocky Mountain region and selling her photos professionally in galleries, shops, and online. She primarily searches for rural Landscapes, old barns, abandoned farmhouses, and occasionally wildlife she encounters. Her work as been featured in HGTV, Better Homes and Gardens, and featured in three books on emerging artists of the United States. She currently lives in Billings, Montana, and takes several trips during the year to gather new images.
