The painting depicts Dionysus, the ancient Greek god of wine and festivity. Shown with a golden wreath decorated with grapes and flowers, he holds a raised cup, symbolising celebration and abundance. Bright colours and textured brushstrokes enhance the sense of myth and vitality. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
