Piece description from the artist
The painting depicts the ancient Greek God Dionysus holding a jug of red wine. Part of the torso is covered with a red robe. In the background you can see trees, flowers and a pond. This canvas is a mixture of several artistic styles at once. The main idea is to combine classical art and modern conceptual style. Like most of my other works, this painting is full of bright vibrant tones. Oil, canvas. Varnished. Signed.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
