A view looking down a hiking trail through the rugged desert landscape with a cool juniper tree along the path. This trail leads you to Upheaval Dome in Canyonlands National Park, in Moab, Utah. The orange rocky desert soil contrasts with mostly cloudy sky brushed with soft blue and purple hues, creates a stunning contrast across the scene.
Scattered juniper bushes and wind-shaped juniper trees dot the terrain, adding depth and scale to the open wilderness. Located within the Island in the Sky district, this moderate 1.2-mile round-trip hike offers expansive views that showcase the vastness, color, and quiet beauty of Utah’s high desert from horizon to horizon.
