A close-up of a fish eating anemone in British Columbia. These large anemones inhabit rocky coastlines and come in a variety of colors and sizes. I took this photo with a close-up (macro) lens, trying to capture the beautiful colors and swirling patterns within.
For the first four years of his life, before his family decided to make a home in Florida, Montgomery Gilchrist was raised on a sailboat off the coast Central and South America. As an adult, he taught English in Tokyo for two years then subsequently settled in Manhattan. He is a world traveler and maintains a passionate interest in the ways different people live.
