Piece description from the artist
This photograph captures a spring season storm rolling in quickly while we were out at Monument Valley in Navajo Tribal Park in northeast Navajo County, Arizona, United States. A dead cedar tree stands beside and in front of a portion of the Spearhead Mesa rock formation. This is a butte that is at one of the ends. The purple and blue colors of the clouds stand out against the orange colors of the desert landscape and rock mountains. The landscape is dotted with green vegetation. Shortly after I took this it started hailing and the temperature dropped and it turned to sleet.
