Dawes prairie

Dawes Prairie

Piece description from the artist

This country scene is located at one of my favorite parks in my home state. There are numerous and varied types of trees and open areas that have yielded many fruitful pictures over the years. This view is at the western end of the park looking toward the distant horizon in late morning. I've always been fascinated with prairie grass and visually grabbed a clump of them and set them at the front of the composition.
