My painting process incorporates layers of hand-painted translucent wax papers that allow me bring depth and unique textures to my work. This piece was created during a cold and rainy Minnesota spring day. It's creation was my escape to warmer days ahead.
Lara Eckerman creates abstract mixed-media artwork that explores the relationship between color, texture, and depth. Working primarily with acrylics, ink, and hand-painted translucent waxed papers, her landscape and floral-inspired pieces are created intuitively and are influenced by interior design and the natural world. Through layered, translucent compositions, Lara crafts visual experiences that invite viewers to immerse themselves in rhythm and subtle intrigue.
