The plains of Montana are home to many tiny little towns, and each year I love to capture those small forgotten mom-and-pop shops that once were the hub of a small town. This interesting Auto Repair shop is located in Custer, Montana, and I loved the interesting arched roof and faded black lettering that advertised the business. This old lettering was hand-painted many decades ago, and still retains the charming mid-century modern style of the times it was created. Now abandoned, this little repair garage sits waiting through time, keeping its memories.
Annie was born and raised in Montana, growing up on her family's ranch in the beautiful Smith River Valley. Growing up in Montana's wild and beautiful Landscape led to her deep love of nature and all things rural. Annie attended the Art Institute of Colorado and lived in Denver Colorado until the completion of her Interior Design degree in 2002. After working in that field for several years, Annie moved back to Montana and began her own business, focusing on her ever-growing love of photography. She began traveling the backroads and wilderness of Montana and the Rocky Mountain region and selling her photos professionally in galleries, shops, and online. She primarily searches for rural Landscapes, old barns, abandoned farmhouses, and occasionally wildlife she encounters. Her work as been featured in HGTV, Better Homes and Gardens, and featured in three books on emerging artists of the United States. She currently lives in Billings, Montana, and takes several trips during the year to gather new images.
