Curious Dark Brown Horse

Piece description from the artist

This close-up photograph captures a beautiful female dark brown horse that paused and turned her head to glance back at me, highlighting the striking contrast between her rich brown coat and dark black mane. Her ears stand up showing curiosity. Taken during the spring season near Cedarcreek, Missouri, United States, the scene is accented by wild yellow flowers blooming in the surrounding field. Horses, a common sight on farms throughout the Ozarks, are one of two extant subspecies of Equus ferus—an odd-toed ungulate belonging to the family Equidae.
