A dark brown female horse horse stops in a field watching me with my camera while a lighter colored male horse eats grass behind her. Shortly after I took this, she came up closer to me. I took this during the spring season near Cedarcreek, Missouri, United States. Horses are common farm animals in the Ozarks. You can see some wild yellow flowers blooming in the field. The horse is one of two extant subspecies of Equus ferus. It is an odd-toed mammal belonging to the taxonomic family Equidae.
