There is something about the color yellow that I find remarkable! First, it's a very challenging color to paint with but I have found that if I layer the light and dark values and the cool and warm values correctly, I can capture what I see in my minds' eye. It doesn't always happen the way I envision it to but when I do, WOW! A pop of yellow makes me happy and hopeful and leaves me wanting to paint more cottonwoods and aspens!
