Colorado River In Marble Canyon

Piece description from the artist

I captured this view while standing beside the historic Navajo Bridge, looking down into Marble Canyon as the Colorado River works its way through the towering sandstone cliffs below. From this overlook near Page, Arizona, the river appears nearly 467 feet beneath the rim, revealing the immense scale of one of the Southwest's most dramatic landscapes.

Morning light enhances the warm orange and red hues of the canyon walls, while a partly cloudy blue sky provides beautiful contrast above. In the distance, the colorful cliffs of Vermilion Cliffs National Monument add another layer of depth to the breathtaking desert scenery.

Located within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Marble Canyon is one of the most scenic stretches of the Colorado River. Standing here, I couldn't help but admire the powerful forces of nature that carved this spectacular canyon and continue to shape the landscape today.
