Piece description from the artist
Part III of series Color Time.
Aliza Shoshana Vaida is a visual artist from Allentown, Pennsylvania. She received her B.F.A. in painting and sculpture from Boston University in 2010. Her passion for art marking started as early as second grade. In 2011, Aliza taught art courses and painted a mural at Nyumbani Village in Kenya. That experience changed the course of her life and her work. She currently makes art out of her apartment in Medford, Massachusetts, and works as a custom framer in Porter Square.
Vaida explores color, form, and movement. It covers a large spectrum of mediums like paintings, sculptures and mixed media. Much of her earlier work focused on capturing energy through paint and sculpture, however after a recent trip to Africa many of her newer pieces are directly influenced by the amazing people and places she experienced during her travels.
