Piece description from the artist
The 1950's were a great time for a new, fine art painting form known as "Color Field Painting." Several artists brought this style to the forefront of painting at the time, including Mark Rothko, Hans Hoffman, and Robert Motherwell, just to name a few. I have always loved this work, and its essence is an integral part of my current evolutionary, linear-geometric works. This piece, entitled "Color Fields," makes a similar statement to those 50's works, where color is the subject of the work. I also introduce my own, personal geometric elements and unique field blending processes to create something brand new.
