Clouds XXXI

Piece description from the artist

In this atmospheric study, a towering pillar of brilliant white cloud dominates the canvas, ascending dramatically into a serene periwinkle sky. Soft, sculptural painterly strokes build up the clouds' immense volume, catching bright sunlight along their billowed edges while resting in gentle, cool-toned shadows below.
A low, distant shoreline breaks the horizon, anchoring the composition with a sliver of lush green foliage. Below, the calm sea mirrors the atmospheric tones above with expressive, fluid brushwork that captures the subtle movement of gentle waves. Sweeping, wispy textures across the upper sky lend an airy, painterly vitality to the entire scene, evoking the peaceful stillness that often precedes a summer coastal storm.

With its expansive sense of height and soothing palette of sky blues, soft whites, and deep aquatic hues, this piece makes a captivating addition to modern interiors, coastal-inspired spaces, study rooms, or light-filled living areas. It pairs beautifully with clean wood or white frames to accentuate its airy, open atmosphere.
