CLOCKWORK ORANGES No 34

Piece description from the artist

This painting (like the others in this series) draws its inspiration from the writings of sassily Kandinsky and Robert Motherwell in which the artists analogize the act of painting to composing music. In my work I think of line like melody, color relations to harmonies or chords. I sketch out the lines of the composition on a small pad, (about 3" x 4") transfer the drawing to a 3 foot x 4 foot canvas, (enlarging it to scale), and then paint it mixing the color separately for eachnshape. All of this is done intuitively without reference to any thing except my own intuition.
