Climb Beside Kanarra Falls Grayscale

This beautiful black and white long exposure photograph highlights the cascade of Kanarra Falls flowing beside the well known metal staircase inside a narrow slot canyon in Kanarraville, Utah, United States. Captured during the spring season, the cold, crystal-clear water, measuring about 36°F, spills gracefully down the canyon wall, its motion softened into a silky flow by the long exposure technique.

Warm afternoon sunlight filters into the canyon, lighting up the glowing sandstone walls and bringing out rich warm tones that contrast beautifully with the smooth, flowing water. This scenic spot lies along the popular four mile roundtrip Kanarra Falls Trail within Spring Creek Canyon. The hike itself is an adventure, requiring visitors to wade through cool spring-fed water and navigate sections of rocky terrain along the creek.

The metal staircase beside the waterfall has become one of the trail’s most recognizable features. Over the years it has been updated and maintained, helping hikers climb alongside the falls while adding to the distinctive character of this unique and photogenic canyon destination.
