Dorothy Fagan embodies the landscape as she paints. At the sacred site where woodland streams flow from their Appalachian source — through her cathedral studio by the pond — downstream to the Atlantic, Fagan creates life-size expressionist paintings and textiles that face the challenge of a lifetime.

She channels emotions into vibrant chakra colors with thick, impasto palette knife strokes, grounded with gritty, willow charcoal drawings. This fusion releases embodied energy to flow downstream through the heart — to heal the self and the earth.

Juxtaposing earth and sky colors, she orchestrates a strobe light above and below the heart. She regulates the nervous system with earthy tones. And alternates with ethereal hues to spark the spirit and uplift the soul.

Color alchemy happens in the human body as viewers mix colors in the mind’s eye, a channel of colorful healing light charges through the heart. We feel simultaneously uplifted and comforted — embraced by the colorful light within.

A life-time creativity advocate, Dorothy Fagam fuses art and science through a life of service to creatives in all disciplines. An expressionist artist, trained through a decade-long American Masters Mentorship with Robert Bowers Mayo and a BFA East Carolina University ~ she serves creatives, hospitals, and fortune 500 companies.

Fagan specializes in site-specific art to embrace people with light and color where they live and work. Fagan designs her paintings and textiles to orchestrate embodiment of the landscape within the architecture of human and man-made structure.

She creates art installations to move light and healing energy in homes and workplaces as our world moves further into a high-tech digital ai focus.
