Piece description from the artist
New York's iconic Chrysler Building, East 42nd Street. The Chrysler Building stands tall at 319 meters (1,047 feet) and was the world’s tallest building for eleven months from 1930 to 1931, until it was surpassed by the Empire State Building.
One day, Raymond started pointing and shooting and quickly got carried away with photography.
He got a sack of gear and hit the streets of his hometown, New York City. Rarely a fly on the wall, Raymond has a way that is central to his work; with a quick hello, he can turn chance encounters into spontaneous portraits. He also photographs events and weddings, wanders the streets to capture candid moments, and produces portrait sessions.
Since moving to the Southwest in 2015, Raymond has expanded his subject matter to include landscapes, storm chasing, and wildlife, with a particular interest in hummingbirds and raptors.
