I wanted to revisit this beautiful Chicago morning on a cool, crisp winter day from 2023. I always love how black and white photography brings attention to minor things I hadn't noticed before, like the sharp detail of the top of the bridge in the foreground.
Kimberly Barnes is a multimedia artist working primarily in sound, animation, photography, and video. She's drawn to quiet, pensive moments in nature and city environments.
Kimberly currently resides in Brooklyn, NY, where she attends the Pratt Institute for the graduate dual degree program in Library Information Science and History of Art & Design. She also received her MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University and her BFA from the Virginia Commonwealth University.
