Piece description from the artist

During my teenage years, I worked as a pump jockey for Standard Stations Inc. in San Bernardino, CA. In the 1960's cars were a part of my life. We would cruise "E" Street in one bad, black, hard-top, 2-door '57 Chevy Bel Air. It ran a 327 cu. in. mill, 4 on the floor Hurst shifter, 4-11 gears, and Mickey Thompson mags. This painting is a tribute to that car and to that time.
