Piece description from the artist
I captured another unforgettable view of the Aurora Borealis glowing above Fellows Lake, a sight I never imagined witnessing in Missouri. Silky water on the lake mirrored streaks of pink, red, green, and violet as the lights slowly shifted across the night sky. This moment took place during the powerful geomagnetic storm on October 10, 2024, when auroras pushed far south into the central United States. Standing along the quiet shoreline in Springfield, watching the sky come alive, felt surreal and humbling, one of those rare moments where time seems to pause and nature puts on a show you’ll never forget.
