Charleston's Iconic Bridge Sunset

Piece description from the artist

This photograph captures a breathtaking, vibrant, partly cloudy magic hour sunset over Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge in Charleston, South Carolina, USA as the sun drops below the horizon. The powerful mix of warm and cool colors of the evening sky highlight the impressive design of this modern landmark as it stretches across the Cooper River. It opened in 2005 and is an eight-lane cable-stayed bridge spanning 1,546 feet. It serves as the main connection between Charleston and Mount Pleasant. As the third-longest cable-stayed bridge in the Western Hemisphere, the Ravenel Bridge is not only an engineering marvel but also one of the most photographed icons of the Lowcountry, especially during sunset when the views are truly unforgettable.
