Piece description from the artist
I have shot numerous photos in Central Park over the past 10 years. The views of the West Side skyline are iconic with the Dakota and San Remo buildings standing prominently. I shot this particular picture on a cold afternoon while heading towards the Museum of Natural History. It is one of my favorites.
Born in 1976 in Athens, Greece, Spyridon (Spyros) Mylonas studied Biology and pursued a Ph.D. in Hamburg, Germany. Since 2007 he has lived mostly in New York where he works as a scientist and continues pursuing his passion for urban photography. Spyros has grown a particular interest in architecture photography. He admires the vision of architects that strive to transform cities, promote innovation and green technologies, and create spaces of culture and art. He particularly enjoys shots of architectural details that can create impressive abstract motives and he intends to travel around the world and shoot the most innovative building on all continents.
