This photogram is made in a traditional photo laboratory – a darkroom. Light sensitive photographic paper and chemicals have been used to process the photogram.
The "Center yourself" images are a visual representation on the moment before concentrating. The time before focusing on a subject or activity. It can also be a depiction of the intent to find harmony and resonate with the environment.
Anna Kalapazana is a documentary and conceptual photographer based in Gabrovo, Bulgaria. Her photography work focuses on exploring a post-communist society, its values and formed cityscapes.
She experiments with more minimalist expression in terms of creating black and white handmade photograms on photosensitive paper.
Her works have been exhibited in Sofia and New York.
She studied Visual Arts in New Bulgarian University, Sofia, Bulgaria.
